Training Schedule |

The
training schedule comprises of the following over a period of 6 months: |

Typing training utilizing the TT6 software
for a period of 45 days, the aim being that each MT should achieve
a speed of 40 words per minute with 100% accuracy. |

|
|
| |
|
Practical sessions in the form of regular
transcription on a daily basis with different grades of difficulty
- Basic medical transcription and Advanced medical transcription.
In the last 2 months, the trainees undergo DJ (dead job) transcription,
which comprise of files transcribed in recent past by the production
batch with different grades of difficulty. |

A crash course in computer applications
over a period of 3 weeks with periodic tests. |

| |
|
Provision of various MT related softwares
like Stedman's Medical Dictionary, ADAMS Encyclopedia, Quick Look
Electronic Drug Reference, Random House English Dictionary, and Medipro
and medical reference books. This also includes new drug names, physical
examination terms, current terms, etc. downloaded from MT related
websites. |
